As a tournament professional, this is one of the most exciting run-ups to a Ryder Cup that I can remember.
There are still so many permutations as to who can make the European team. Seven players have effectively secured their places, but with three spots still up for grabs anything can happen.
Looking at the table, there is no more than €220,000 between Justin Rose in seventh and Nick Dougherty in 13th. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to work out that anybody who produces some good performances over the next two weeks is going to move up into those automatic places.
