FULL-TIME United have won 3-0 to tighten their grip on top spot. The game turned on Mascherano's sending-off just before half-time, but United were impressive nonetheless. Remember to stay tuned for Chelsea v Arsenal at 4.
89 - Going through the motions The United fans are in great voice as their team plays keep-ball in midfield. They will now be thinking about what result would suit them best in the Chelsea-Arsenal game later on.
86 - Looking for four United are toying with Liverpool now, and the visitors probably can't wait for the full-time whistle to blow.
83 - Substitution Riise comes on for Torres for the final seven minutes.
81 - GOAL Nani fires in a stunning third from the edge of the area after more good work from Rooney. Great finish.
80 - GOAL Ronaldo is not to be denied for long as he headss home a corner. Once again, Reina came to punch but got nowhere near it. That must be game over now.
79 - Off the bar Ronaldo's shot is pushed onto the bar by Reina.
78 - Send for Crouch Mehran Khan from Pakistan thinks it is time for Crouch to come on for Kuyt. Liverpool are still in it with just over ten minutes to go but United still look in control to me.
75 - Reina redemption Reina pulls off a smart stop from Tevez. Rooney, meanwhile, appears to have picked up a slight knock. I hope that's not bad news for England.
74 - Double substitution Anderson and Giggs have been replaced by Nani and Tevez.
73 - Wasteful Mikey might be forced to change his opinion as he slams a shot over after good work from Rooney down the left.
72 - Impressed by Anderson Mikey from Ireland believes Anderson has been great this season. He also wonders whether Brown's goal may help with his wage demads.
70 - Good response Liverpool are just starting to see a bit more of the ball but United are still posing problems on the break.
68 - Reds fans still hopeful Bob Jackson in Azerbaijan thinks Liverpool can come back to win 3-1. That would make for an exciting finish Bob.
66 - Substitution It is Babel who makes way for Benayoun with a quarter of the game to go.
65 - Cool it Torres Torres escapes with a talking-to after a foul on Vidic. On another issue, why is Torres still called El Nino (The Kid) at the age of 24?
63 - Benayoun set to come on Benitez is talking to Benayoun on the sidelines. Is the Israeli the man to turn this game around?
61 - Divided opinions Peter from Newcastle agrees that Mascherano should have been sent off, but Nathan cannot believe Liverpool have been reduced to ten men.
58 - Nothing there for Ronaldo Ronaldo looks less than pleased as he is not awarded a free-kick after a wrestle with Aurelio. Wisely, the Portuguse winger decided not to approach Bennett with his argument.
56 - One-way traffic Van der Sar's long clearance is brilliantly controlled by Rooney, who then drills a low shot straight at Reina. The ball rebounds for Anderson to blast an effort high into the crowd.
54 - Just outside the area Arbeloa concedes a free-kick right on the edge of the area and Ronaldo side-foots his shot agonisingly wide.
51 - United dominating possession Liverpool are being made to chase shadows as United play the ball around comfortably in midfield. This second half is not going to be much of a contest unless Liverpool can sneak an equaliser. Ben from Preston thinks United will win 3-1.
48 - Van der Sar into the action Van der Sar makes a routine save from Gerrard's long-range strike.
47 - Chance for Ronaldo Scholes plays in Ronaldo with a clever pass but Reina stands tall to make a good save.
Back underway United get the second half started. If they hold on to their lead they will move six points clear at the top, for a couple of hours at least.
HALF-TIME Rafa Benitez and co looked far from happy after Mascherano's dismissal. Whether they were unhappy with the player or the referee is unclear, but Liverpool surely cannot come back from this. Let me know your thoughts on Lewis.Rutledge@bskyb.com
44 - RED CARD Mascherano comes to complain about Torres' yellow card and Bennett gives the Argentine his marching orders. Given the Ashley Cole incident last week, it is hard to have any sympathy with Mascherano. What do you think about the referee's decision?
44 - Caution Torres is booked for dissent.
42 - Babel frustrates Babel beats Brown down the left but Anderson races back to cover and clear for a corner.
40 - Not this time Ronnie United win a free-kick in a dangerous position and Ronaldo takes aim. His effort hits the wall and breaks for Rooney, but Reina makes the save.
36 - Bad luck Barrie Liverpool fan Barrie sent Rooney and Ronaldo pies for Easter to slow them down. Unfortunately they have not had the desired effect and your boys now face a huge task to get back into the game. Can they come from behind and salvage something here?
34 - GOAL Brown heads United in front from Rooney's cross. Reina must take most of the blame after coming out and missing his punch.
32 - Almost a howler from Reina Reina drops Ronaldo's cross from the left and the ball nearly rolls over the goalline.
30 - Varied predictions Steve from Manchester thinks United will go on to win 2-1. Chris from Germany wants a Liverpool win to keep the title race interesting.
27 - Gerrard tries his luck Gerrard lets fly with an ambitious volley from distance that deflects off Vidic's back and away for a corner.
24 - Ronaldo goes close Giggs delivers a free-kick into the area that creeps its way through to Ronaldo at the back post. He volleys it against the post before the flag is raised incorrectly for offside.
22 - Risky Reina Reina charges out of his area to deal with a long pass. He brings the ball down on his chest and boots it clear, but certainly an anxious moment for Liverpool fans.
21 - Anderson pulling the strings Anderson has made a lively start in midfield and is linking up well with Scholes and Carrick. Have you been impressed with the Brazilian in his first season at Old Trafford?
19 - Wayward Some of Liverpool's longer passes have not found their targets and United are definitely seeing more of the ball now.
16 - United on top Liverpool started brightly in the first few minutes but Man Utd are looking much more dangerous now. The game has been refreshingly open so far and I'm guessing there will be goals soon.
13 - Burst from Babel Babel wins a corner after a fine run down the left. Liverpool take it short but Aurelio smashes his shot wide from a tight angle.
11 - Caution Mascherano is booked for a late challenge on Scholes.
10 - Rooney causing problems Rooney controls a delightful crossfield ball from Scholes but Reina is just able to gather before he can get a shot away.
8 - Too honest? Was Rooney too honest for his own good there? How many other players would have dived and probably been awarded with a spot-kick?
6 - Rooney denied Rooney is released through the centre and Carragher appears to clip his heels. The United striker stays on his feet and gets a shot away that is stopped by Reina, but surely he should have had a penalty.
4 - Good move from Liverpool Arbeloa robs Giggs and sends over a deep cross towards Torres. The Spaniard goes down but nothing is given by referee Steve Bennett.
2 - Frantic start The tackles are flying in early on and there is little fluency to the game as yet. You would expect nothing else I suppose. Who will settle first?
Kick-off The sun has come out as Liverpool get the game underway.
Nearly time We are just minutes away from the first part of Grand Slam Sunday. Both sides have been in excellent form of late and you are clearly expecting a result either way, with only 4.7 % predicting a draw in our match poll.
Happy Easter This must be one of the coldest Easters on record and several of the players are warming up with gloves on. I wonder if they had a chance to get started on their eggs yet this morning. What do you think the Easter bunny delivered to the different players?
Bold prediction Paul from New Zealand is staying up to follow the game. He thinks it will be 3-1 to Liverpool. What do you United fans make of that? He is a Liverpool fan so is he thinking with his heart or his head?
Team news The teams are in but have both managers made the right decisions? Has Sir Alex Ferguson been too defensive by leaving the likes of Carlos Tevez and Nani on the bench? Is this Liverpool's strongest available side? Let me know on Lewis.Rutledge@bskyb.com.

Matt Le Tiss is full of praise for Harry Redknapp and David James, but is baffled by Thaksin Shinawatra.
Andy Gray fears for Fulham and Bolton, but says Reading and Birmingham aren't out of the woods yet.
