Spoils of war

This is it for play-off places, says Stevo

Does Bradford's revival start here? If they can win this game against Hull KR then that would certainly boost their confidence and boost their chances for a top eight finish.

Mick Potter is a very good coach and he will know that they have not had the best of seasons . They have been a bit of a yo-yo side and some of that will be due to their injuries, however a few players have not stepped up - especially after signing long-term contracts.

Central figure: Hull KR need Dobson to perform on Sunday

Central figure: Hull KR need Dobson to perform on Sunday

They have not delivered the sort of performances that earned them their deal in the first place, and it is time they pulled their finger out.

Last time they played they were demolished 64-6 by Warrington so they will be desperate to make amends. They have had a week off to lick their wounds and right the wrongs, so it will be interesting to see how they do on Sunday.

Hull KR have been disappointing and very frustrating too. At times they can play some very poor rugby league but they can also produce some sparkling stuff.

Hull KR have been disappointing and very frustrating too. At times they can play some very poor rugby league but they can also produce some sparkling stuff. You only have to look at the fact that the lead try scorer in Super League is Kris Welham.

They lost Michael Dobson early on in the season which meant they did not get off to the best start and it has taken Dobson some time to settle back in. Dobson's form over the last two seasons has been truly outstanding so to lose him really shook them. There has also been all the uncertainty of their coach Justin Morgan's future which has not helped either.

I also think that some of the Hull Kingston Rovers forwards are over the hill. They can produce the goods for 50 minutes but a game is 80 minutes and they really suffer in that final quarter.

This is a must win game for Hull KR - if they lose I cannot see them making the eight. I think you need 24 points at least to grab that eighth spot. They are on twenty points and if they lose then Bradford would be on equal points but their remaining fixtures are St Helens, Catalans and Castleford.

They may beat Castleford because they are playing at home but by then it could all be over.Tthat is why this weekend is so important for both sides.

STAR MAN: If Hull KR are to have a late surge in the season then Michael Dobson has to step up for them. We know he is a great player but unfortunately injury has slowed him down a bit, however Sunday is a game he has to turn up and play the way we know he can play.

STEVO SAYS: I don't think Bradford will run away with this game, however saying that they nulled Huddersfield a few weeks back. We know that the Bulls are capable of and Justin Morgan will be aware of that too. If they don't get into the game from early on and concede a couple of early tries then I think Hull KR will be in trouble.
