Mighty Monday!

What a way to start the week, says Stevo

What a way to kick our Monday night coverage! Headingley will be rocking when Leeds host St Helens in a rematch of last year's Grand Final.

Saints have a few problems at the moment and don't seem to have much attacking prowess apart from James Roby. Leeds will have noticed that and if they shut down Roby then you shut down St Helens. That is not as simple as it sounds though. Jonny Lomax has come back from injury but is still not 100%, however I think he will be looking for a big game.

Ablett: fine form for Leeds

Ablett: fine form for Leeds

The one thing that Saints have been missing in the past few weeks is power in the forwards. They have lost Nathan Graham who has gone to play in Australia this season and I think it has been difficult for Saints to find some power in the pack - an area where they have always had the advantage in years gone by. They are also really missing James Graham - but any team would miss a player of his caliber. They just don't seem to have got it right up front - if your forwards are not working and fighting for the opportunity then the three-quarters may as well go home!

For that very reason I really think that they should be looking to utilise Iosia Soliola far better. They try and use him out wide all the time - we know he has the weight and the power so I think they should bring him in a little bit and carry up through the forwards.

Leeds are playing well - yes they came up short against Hull but that is the thing about Leeds. Sometimes they don't turn up. But they will definitely turn up for this game. The likes of Danny McGuire and Kevin Sinfield will make sure that they don't slacken off one iota.

Neither are used to being so far down the table - Saints are in sixth and Leeds are one place further down. A win for either side here would certainly help their cause for a top four spot.

It should be a cracking game!

Star man: Carl Ablett has just been sensational for Leeds no matter where they have played him. He's stepped up wherever they have played him and I expect him to shine on Monday night.

Stevo says: Leeds for me. I think they will have too much for St Helens this time around, but I think it's going to be one heck of a clash!
