Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Andersen, Hans (16) Gate 4 6
2 Pedersen, Bjarne (5) Gate 2 4
3 Crump, Jason (12) Gate 1 2
4 Adams, Leigh (9) Gate 3
SUMMARY: Crump seems to have the victory in the bag but a dramatic night takes a further, stunning twist when the Aussie's bike has problems on the last lap, allowing Hans Andersen to roar through and take the victory. Bjarne Pedersen also pips Crump to second, making it a Danish 1-2 in Italy. It is Andersen's first win since Prague in 2006.

Semi Final Two - Result - Race Time: 21:51

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Andersen, Hans (16) Gate 1 3
2 Pedersen, Bjarne (5) Gate 4 2
3 Hancock, Greg (2) Gate 3 1
4 Jonsson, Andreas (7) Gate 2
SUMMARY: The second semi-final is much more straightforward than the first, Hans Andersen taking a victory that means he could break a run of 22 GP's without a win. He will be joined in the final by compatriot Bjarne Pedersen, meaning it's two Danes taking on a pair of Aussies for the overall victory. Greg Hancock is third while Andreas Jonsson pushes his bike over the line in last place after a mechanical failure.

Semi Final One - Result - Race Time: 21:48

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Crump, Jason (12) Gate 1 3
2 Adams, Leigh (9) Gate 4 2
3 Holta, Rune (13) Gate 2 1
4 Gollob, Tomsz (10) Gate 3
SUMMARY: There's drama in the opening semi-final as Jason Crump takes a tumble after a coming together with Tomasz Gollob. The referee, a Pole by the way, decides to kick his fellow countryman out of the re-run. It's disaster for Gollob when he had a place in the final in his grasp having been leading. Leigh Adams benefits from the second chance, joining countryman Crump in the final after being dead last in the first race. Rune Holta gets a point but his work for the day is done.

Heat 20 - Result - Race Time: 21:25

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Pedersen, Bjarne (5) Gate 1 3
2 Nicholls, Scott (11) Gate 3 2
3 Carpanese, Mattia (17) replaced Chris Harris

Gate 4 1
4 Franchetti, Guglielmo (14) Gate 2
SUMMARY: Scott Nicholls' night is over as he fails to get the heat win he required to finish the 20 heats in the top eight. The British rider just couldn't get around Bjarne Pedersen, though he will look back with regret on his opening ride when he was excluded for touching the tape.

Heat 19 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Kasprzak, Krzysztof (3) Gate 1 3
2 Crump, Jason (12) Gate 2 2
3 Holta, Rune (13) Gate 3 1
4 Lindgren, Fredrik (6) Gate 4
SUMMARY: Krzysztof Kasprzak holds off the hot Crump to take a crucial three points, though it's not enough for him to make the top eight as he only has one heat win to his name. Rune Holta comes home in third, the point being enough to make sure he'll carry on racing this evening.

Heat 18 - Result - Race Time: 21:17

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Adams, Leigh (9) Gate 1 3
2 Andersen, Hans (16) Gate 4 2
3 Jonsson, Andreas (7) Gate 3 1
4 Hancock, Greg (2) Gate 2
SUMMARY: Leigh Adams seems to be coming good at the right time, claiming his second successive win to make sure of a semi-final place. He will be joined there by Hans Andersen, who will finish his five heats with a personal haul of 12. Hancock's failure to get anything means he's left sweating over a top eight finish.

Heat 17 - Result - Race Time: 21:14

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Gollob, Tomsz (10) Gate 4 3
2 Pedersen, Nicki (8) Gate 2 2
3 Iversen, Niels (1) Gate 1 1
4 Dryml, Lukas (15) Gate 3
SUMMARY: Tomasz Gollob gets the win, holding off Pedersen for the three points to make sure of a semi-final place and also meaning that the reigning world title leader will be a spectator for the rest of the night. It would be easy to say he hasn't been at the races, but clearly he has. He'll now have to wait until the final GP of the season to retain his championship.

Heat 16 - Result - Race Time: 21:00

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Adams, Leigh (9) Gate 1 3
2 Lindgren, Fredrik (6) Gate 2 2
3 Carpanese, Mattia (17) replaced Chris Harris

Gate 3 1
4 Dryml, Lukas (15) Gate 4
SUMMARY: Leigh Adams and Freddie Lindgren battle it out for the win, the former coming out on top eventually despite seeming to struggle a bit with his bike. The home crowd come alive as Mattia Carpanese, riding in place of the crocked Chris Harris, comes close to pipping Lukas Dryml for third spot.

2 Andersen, Hans (16) Gate 1 2
3 Gollob, Tomsz (10) Gate 3 1
4 Kasprzak, Krzysztof (3) Gate 2
SUMMARY: At least one Pedersen is having a good night. Bjarne looks bjilliant as he wins heat 15 at a canter, getting out into an early lead that he never looks like surrendering. Hans Andersen gets second despite nearly coming a cropper into the barrier, the two points pushing him to a total of 10 through four rides.

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Hancock, Greg (2) Gate 1 3
2 Nicholls, Scott (11) Gate 4 2
3 Holta, Rune (13) Gate 2 1
4 Pedersen, Nicki (8) Gate 3
SUMMARY: It's not quite Hancock's half hour but it is Hancock's four laps, the American coming out on top in heat 14. Scott Nicholls comes home in second with Rune Holta in third. The shock comes with the man in last place - Nicki Pedersen is stuck at the back of the field and is now losing points rapidly to title rival Crump. You can see he's far from happy when he gets back to the garages.

Heat 13 - Result - Race Time: 20:49

2 Crump, Jason (12) Gate 2 2
3 Iversen, Niels (1) Gate 4 1
4 Franchetti, Guglielmo (14) Gate 3
SUMMARY: Jonsson makes it back-to-back heat wins after a brief break for the track to be watered. In winning the Swede ends Crump's perfect record for the night, though both men are looking certain to make it through to the semi-finals.

2 Kasprzak, Krzysztof (3) Gate 3 2
3 Adams, Leigh (9) Gate 2 1
4 Franchetti, Guglielmo (14) Gate 4
SUMMARY: Nikki Pedersen gets his victory march back on track with three points from heat 11, a result that puts him back in the hunt for a semi-final spot. In the bigger picture it also pushes him closer to retaining his world title.

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Crump, Jason (12) Gate 1 3
2 Pedersen, Bjarne (5) Gate 2 2
3 Hancock, Greg (2) Gate 4 1
4 Dryml, Lukas (15) Gate 3
SUMMARY: That man Crump has done it again, even with a limp nobody appears capable of catching him up tonight. Who says this title race is over?

Heat 9 - Result - Race Time: 20:21

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Andersen, Hans (16) Gate 2 3
2 Lindgren, Fredrik (6) Gate 1 2
3 Nicholls, Scott (11) Gate 4 1
4 Iversen, Niels (1) Gate 3
SUMMARY: Hans Andersen seems to be writing his own script as he grabs a second heat victory of the night. With a second-placed finish in his other race, the Dane looks a stick-on for a semi-final spot already. Scott Nicholls is still in the hunt also but he has to settle for third behind Freddie Lindgren.

Heat 8 - Result - Race Time: 20:05

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Crump, Jason (12) Gate 3 3
2 Andersen, Hans (16) Gate 4 2
3 Carpanese, Mattia (17) replaced Chris Harris

Gate 1 1
4 Pedersen, Nicki (8) Gate 2
SUMMARY: The first head-to-head between world championship rivals Pedersen and Crump ends quickly as the current leader crashes at the second corner and is excluded, leaving him with just a solitary point from two rides. Crump seems to be nursing an ankle injury but before he sees the doctor he picks up three points in the re-run. Hans Andersen is second while home favourite Carpanese picks up a first point by pushing his bike - including broken chain - over the line.

Heat 7 - Result - Race Time: 20:00

1 Nicholls, Scott (11) Gate 1 3
2 Dryml, Lukas (15) Gate 2 2
3 Kasprzak, Krzysztof (3) Gate 4 1
4 Jonsson, Andreas (7) Gate 3
SUMMARY: Scott Nicholls scoops victory in heat seven and then lets Lukas Dryml knows exactly what he thinks of him for nearly sending him into the barrier. The Brit gets right in the face of his rival and gives him a nudge with his elbow as he asks him politely to be a nice chap and mind out of his way next time.

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Hancock, Greg (2) Gate 3 3
2 Gollob, Tomsz (10) Gate 2 2
3 Lindgren, Fredrik (6) Gate 4 1
4 Franchetti, Guglielmo (14) Gate 1
SUMMARY: Greg Hancock wins an eventful heat six that saw Guglielmo Franchetti fall off his bike coming out of the opening turn. The Italian hops back on but is eventually unable to finish the race. Tomasz Gollob gets second after a duel with Fredrik Lindgren in which both men are lucky not to be wiped out when the latter loses control at one point.

1 Holta, Rune (13) Gate 1 3
2 Adams, Leigh (9) Gate 4 2
3 Iversen, Niels (1) Gate 2 1
4 Pedersen, Bjarne (5) Gate 3
SUMMARY: The inside gate continues to pay off as Rune Holta moves to five points after adding a heat win to his earlier second place. The Pole's success is even more impressive considering he is riding with an injury. Leigh Adams picks up two for finishing second with Niels Iversen getting a solitary one in third.

2 Adams, Leigh (9) Gate 3 2
3 Gollob, Tomsz (10) Gate 1 1
4 Milanese, Alessandro (18) replaced Scott Nicholls

Gate 2
SUMMARY: It goes from bad to worse for the Brits as Scott Nicholls is excluded from his first race when he jumps the lights and breaks the tape. Italian Alessandro Milanese makes his GP debut in Nicholls' place but comes last in an all-star heat won by Jason Crump. Tomasz Gollob is second just ahead of Leigh Adams.

1 Pedersen, Bjarne (5) Gate 1 3
2 Jonsson, Andreas (7) Gate 2 2
3 Pedersen, Nicki (8) Gate 4 1
4 Lindgren, Fredrik (6) Gate 3

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Iversen, Niels (1) Gate 1 3
2 Kasprzak, Krzysztof (3) Gate 3 2

4 Carpanese, Mattia (17) replaced Chris Harris

Gate 4
SUMMARY: Welcome to skysports.com's heat-by-heat coverage of the penultimate GP of the season from Lonigo, a track that is fairly wide and should make for some exciting racing. The opening heat should have included Chris Harris but the Brit was injured in practice yesterday and has been replaced by Mattia Carpanese. The Italian replacement fails to pick up a point in his opening ride, Niels-Kristian Iversen recording a comfortable win.
