Milan will not lodge a complaint with Uefa after Dida was confronted by a Celtic supporter during the 2-1 defeat at Parkhead.

In injury-time of the UEFA Champions League group game, the Milan keeper was caught by a fan, who came onto the pitch to celebrate Scott McDonald's winner.

Dida was stretchered off after the incident, but Milan chief officer Adriano Galliani confirmed the holders will not pursue the matter.

"I've just spoken with president Silvio Berlusconi," Galliani told Sky Italia.

No appeal

"We are the European champions, we will soon represent Europe in the clubs' World Cup and we have decided not to appeal.

"We won't appeal, even if it's not a good thing that a supporter cound enter the pitch.

"Dida? The person who entered the pitch hit him on the cheekbone, then I know nothing else."

Grave

Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti added: "I haven't spoken with Dida and I don't know what happened, and I can say nothing.

"Anyway, I think that it is a grave thing because a fan can't enter the pitch."

Regarding his team's performance, Ancelotti continued: "I'm satisfied for the way in which my side played, despite the loss.

"I think we played a good match on a difficult pitch. It's a pity having lost."
