Brunel Hurricanes is a highly experienced, dynamic Netball Superleague team based in London and boasts four current England internationals and three former England Under 19 players as some of its finest athletes.
The squad has a renowned and feared circle defence of 20 year old England defender Naida Hutchinson and captain Sonia Mkoloma who is considered one of the finest defenders in the world. She has a bronze Commonwealth games medal under her belt as well as the experience of playing at two World Championships.
The Hurricanes attack also boasts 6ft 1" England shooter Josie Leutton and the enviable athletic grace of England attacker Chioma Ezeogu.
Coach Denise Holland is a former International player and one of England's finest tacticians and high performance coach.
Hurricanes is partnered by and trains at Brunel University, West London which has recently invested £14m in sport. The squad trains twice a week at the University's new £1m Netball Hall.
Hurricanes' growth as a franchise has lived up to the franchise's ambitious plans in 2007 and Hurricanes tickets have sold out so fast that the side has had to find a new home venue - The Guildford Spectrum, which holds over 1,000 spectators. At the first match in this new venue, Hurricanes set a new Superleague record crowd.
