Curbishley: Planning to keep Bellamy

Alan Curbishley has dismissed speculation linking Craig Bellamy with a move to Manchester City as 'nonsense'.

Reports had surfaced suggesting that City were in talks with West Ham over a transfer for the Welshman.

The Hammers accepted a bid from Sunderland for Anton Ferdinand over the weekend but Curbishley does not expect any more departures.

Bellamy only moved to Upton Park from Liverpool 12 months ago and Curbishley plans to keep the striker.

Asked about the link with City, Curbishley told Sky Sports News: "It is nonsense.

"I don't think anybody else will be going. Craig Bellamy is in full training today."

The West Ham boss is focusing on his side's Carling Cup clash with Macclesfield, adding: "I want to concentrate on Macclesfield and put in a display so we can look forward to Blackburn at the weekend."
