Team Sky are set to finalise their line-up for the 2010 season, meaning the road future of Bradley Wiggins could finally be decided.

The new team are rumoured to be in talks with two-time Olympic individual pursuit champion Wiggins, who was the highest-placed Brit at this year's Tour de France when he finished fourth.

However, Garmin-Slipstream have Wiggins under contract for the upcoming season and the 29-year-old has kept quiet on the subject of a possible move.

British Cycling performance director and Team Sky boss Dave Brailsford has been reported to be in talks with Wiggins, who attended the Track World Cup meeting in Manchester as a spectator.

Team Sky, who will launch at January's Tour Down Under in Australia, have so far signed 19 riders, including Brits Geraint Thomas, Steve Cummings, Peter Kennaugh, Russell Downing, Chris Froome and Ian Stannard.

"All is in place and we're very excited, raring to go," said Brailsford, who is expected to confirm the line-up by the end of this week.

"We're all nearly done now, all looking good."

All that remains is the completion of paperwork before the five or six remaining riders are revealed in the next week to 10 days.

As it stands, the team are missing an overall contender for one of the Grand Tours of France, Italy or Spain, fuelling rumours that a household name can be expected in the announcement, but Brailsford remained coy on the subject.

"You'll find out when they're revealed," he added. "They're all big names in Team Sky. We've got a team that's assembled the best we can."
