Player Profile

Marin Cillic has powered into the top 16 in the world following wins in Chennai and hometown Zagreb this year, and his 100/1 odds to challenge at Wimbledon could provide sound each way value.

The 20-year-old Croat was one match away from the quarter-finals on just his second visit to the All England Club in 2008, coming up short after a straight-sets defeat to Arnaud Clement.

Cillic, who stands at a mighty 6ft 6in, showed his potential on grass in 2007 when he ousted local favourite Tim Henman and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on his way to a last eight appearance at Queen's Club

His preparations for the third Grand Slam of the calendar year have been boosted by the fact he made the second week of the French Open for the first ever time last month.

So often a walkover on clay, Cillic is now becoming a force on both the slower and quicker surfaces.
