Ward-Smith: Showing off the guns

The Rugby Club
Thursdays on Sky Sports

In a brand new feature The Rugby Club goes behind the scenes in the Guinness Premiership to reveal the truth about the stars on the pitch.

This week we travel to Bristol to meet kit manager Chalky Meek who reveals who is the last player to leave and exactly why Dan Ward Smith wanted to wear a medium shirt.

Average day? I try and get to the club for 7.30am every morning. Open things up and get the kit out, speak to the coaches and find out what they want for training for that day and get that out ready.

Last to leave? Without a shadow of a doubt it is Nathan Budgett. Even though he is follicly challenged, he is always the last out of the change room.

Biggest Joker? Darren Crompton. Then you have Dave Hilton who is 38 going on five!

Biggest pain? Lee Robinson, he likes things just so.

Best Dancer? I have not seen any of them dance, but I heard Sam Cox can throw a mean dance now and again when he is down the old Lizard Lounge.

Biggest Poser? Dan Ward-Smith once wanted a medium shirt, I don't think he could bend down in it but he wanted to show off his biceps. But we have not really got any posers, no primas, they are all good lads who like to muck in together.
