Sky Sports Video area brings you the latest and best video news from the world of sport. Although some videos are restricted, there will always be something available for you to watch with news, interviews, highlights and reaction available at the touch of a button.
For more details on what video is available see the question: "What video is available?"
Although the skysports.com video section brings it all together in one easy to use area there are a number of different types of video offerings on Skysports.com.
The summaries below should help explain what video you can watch and how:
'Free to view' video on skysports.com is exactly that. You don't need a subscription to watch, and provided you are watching in the UK ; any video with a green play icon next to it is available to watch absolutely free including highlights from the Champions League and Football League.
If you are not watching in the UK some videos will not be available to you as we are restricted by the terms of our broadcast contracts as to where we can make this video available. If you try to watch a video that is geo-restricted from outside the UK you will receive a message on the player explaining that you appear to be outside of the designated territory.
Sky Player is the home of Sky TV Online - it's Sky, but on your computer. Within skysports.com you can watch any of the Sky Sports TV channels live by clicking on the 'Watch Sky sports' tab in the video area.
You can also watch on-demand content from Sky Player in the 'Clips and Catch-up' area of the site; or by clicking through to Sky Player videos from the 'Don't miss page.' Sky Player Videos are indicated by the Blue Sky Player logo next to the video.
In order to watch Sky Player videos on skysports.com you will need a Sky Player subscription. For more information on Sky Player click here. For the full list of Sky Player FAQs click here
The TV guide tab will show you schedule information for Sky Sports channels for the next 7 days. It is possible that late schedule changes or live event over-runs might not be shown here. If you are a Sky Sports digital satellite subscriber with a Sky+ product - you will be able to set Sky + recordings and reminders from this area.
Sky Sports also offer a live Champions League streaming service that covers all the matches broadcast by Sky ¿ including matches broadcast on Skysports interactive (behind the red button). For more information on this service click here.
Select the video clip that you want to watch from either the "Don't Miss" or "Play Clips" tabs ¿ or from other sections on the site. Click on the thumbnail picture or the play icon. After a few moments the video will play - you may also see an advertisement message prior to the clip that you have selected. You will be able to pause, rewind and fast forward the clip once it has fully loaded onto your PC or Mac. You can tell when a clip is fully loaded once the grey status bar has reached the right hand side. You can also alter the volume levels and mute.
"My clips" is a tool that allows you to build up your own collection of video from around the site and watch these in the same place. Click the + icon on any clip to add it to your playlist ¿ then when you have collected your videos, sit back, relax and hit play! Up to 10 clips can currently be added to the My Clips section.
We recommend the following minimum systems specifications for playback:
Video may stutter or pause during playback if you computer does not meet the specs detailed above, or if your Internet connection is not fast enough. Even on broadband connections, Internet congestion or traffic can result in choppy playback or repeated buffering.
Some corporate networks, firewalls, and ad-blocking software may prevent the player from displaying. Please check with your Network Administrator to ensure that Flash video is permitted on your network. Also, disable any ad-blocking software that might prevent Flash media from loading.
Several factors affect video quality including the data rate, the quality of the original footage, and the version of Flash video used to encode.
Use the "Email this" option behind the options button on the player. You can email the link though Brightcove, or copy the link to your clipboard and paste in an email message or web page.
You can obtain the latest version of the Flash Player from Adobe http://www.adobe.com/uk/
